Continental Trailways ‘Silver eagle’ - $22,000 (Clarkston)

~I am selling it for $22,000 ~the bus has a new ‘Detroit Engine’ in it…..it has appx. 40,000 miles on it~it has a new Hollister Tractor transmission in it~Collector Plates,so you don’t have to pay registration each year~
~the bus is a Continental Trailways Tour Bus~A ‘Silver Eagle’~it was built in the Netherlands in 1970 and shipped to America before they started building them in this country~the Continental Trailways driver of the bus drove the bus his full career and when he retired they retired the bus with him and he bought it from them and converted it into what you see now~when he got too old for it he sold it to a mechanic who put in the new engine and transmission and was going to redo it all and update everything but unfortunately passed away unexpectedly and it was his widow that sold it to me~
~when I did the paperwork with the County Courthouse here I got to choose how I wanted it registered~either as a bus or as an RV~I decided to choose RV because I thought it would make it easier in parking it in places with the local authorities…….
I had one friend wanting to make it into a little walk-in coffee shop and designed a long counter down one side with stools for the customers to sit at and look out the windows~he also had little tables and chairs in there~it was pretty cool
there is ‘tons’ of storage on the lower level of the bus where all the luggage and equipment for the bands that traveled in these buses went~I’d say it is probably about four feet tall~it has some shelves down there and stuff~
