Chicks & Hatching Eggs (Riggins, Idaho)

We also have more chicks due to hatch over the next few weeks and fertile hatching eggs from multiple breeds. Chicks that will be available in upcoming weeks are Marans, Blue Egger, Green Egger and a few Blue Lace Red Wyandottes. Prices typically range from $7.50-$10.00 per chick depending on breed and quantity. All chicks are sold as straight run ONLY.

Marans:
If you want only my darkest I can't provide more than a few at a time (a dozen max) and please note the shade is ever changing throughout the season. Mixed dozens that include a little of everything from our Marans flock will be cheaper. All Marans hens are crossed to a dark line rooster who has also been producing pullets who lay speckles. These are $65 per dozen for my best eggs and $50 per dozen for a mix of whatever the hens give me which will usually include those darker eggs as well as some that are a 4-5 on the Marans egg chart.
Blue Egger:
These eggs are from my homozygous blue egger breeding project. I've been working on this project for about 6 years now. The goal has been to produce a nice clean faced blue egger that lays well and doesn't suffer so much in the canyon heat. We used to have Ameraucanas and they really did not do well in the Salmon River canyon so I've developed these birds. They are black, white, paint and occasionally blue in color. Most will have a pea comb but a few will still inherit the straight comb. $45 per dozen.
Multi-gen Greens and Olives:
These eggs will produce chicks that can lay any shade of green from light mint green to dark olive and may also produce some browns or blues. Speckles and blooms are possibly as well. $45 per dozen.
These are not factory birds. Chicks will not be vaccinated. We do our best to feed as close to organic as we can. Shipping is currently not available.
