Breeding Flocks! (Riggins, ID)

Birds will need to be picked up locally in or outside Riggins, Idaho. Sometimes we can meet in town if it's early enough in the morning.
Birds that will be available will be a mature flock of Marans. This flock consists of 8 hens and a rooster that will be 2 years old in August. These girls are all still laying good, colors are not as great as they were this spring but that will improve once it cools down and more so again after they molt this fall. 165 takes them all or if you just want hens or fewer numbers they will be 25 each
I'm also selling what's left of my adult birds from my blue egger project. This group is 3 hens and one rooster ranging from 1 to almost 2 years old, the oldest birds will be 2 this fall. Hens and rooster are all from several generations of my own breeding. The hens all lay an abundance of blue or blue green eggs and we havent had any color but this in these bloodlines in 3 generations. Cross the hens to the rooster they are with you will get more of what you see in the adult birds from body type to egg color and production. Breed them to brown eggers you will get pullets who lay green/olive eggs, cross them to white eggers and you will get shades of blue from the offspring. 65 takes the group or 25 each for the hens.
