I'm working with my Orchard Mason bees, just opening and getting the cocoons out and cleaning house. I have lots of extra bees, if you need pollinators for your yard or fruit trees. Message me for more info. 30 cocoons for $20 you can compare and get homes for these at the links below. They will Way more than double their #'s each year so I now have 1200 cocoons for 5 bee houses and glad to share these native bees that do not make honey, they just pollinate better than honey bees. And NO they do not sting. They are fun to watch and take very little care. Just set them out in the spring at the time the flowers start to open and they just go to work for you. You are done until next spring! The cocoons are live adult bees just waiting for a few 60F warm days to crawl out and go to work. So keep them cool until you want them to fly. You must provide a home with tubes or natural reeds. Call and ask ?
https://www.knoxcellarsmasonbees.com/shop?page=4 I have the 2 nester box and the system 74 tubes and liners
https://crownbees.com/shop/bee-houses.html I have 2 of the Chalet's. I would recommend any of the houses from either of the above web stores. Some of the natural reeds or thin cardboard tubes do not keep out the bad bugs. So beware, they may kill your mason bees.
